Well then migrate elsewhere!!

            Elvira Arellano just went home this week, hopefully this time for good.  You, see Elvira was in the United States illegally.  She was the wacked out woman who hid out in a Chicago church for about a year.  I found it amazing that with as much news coverage as she has gotten they caught her in Los Angeles, and sent her to Tijuana.

            The precedent that was set here to me is the most important part of this story.  Elvira came to the U.S. and gave birth to her son, Saul.  Saul is what is known as an anchor baby.  The way that 14^th Amendment has, in my opinion, been misinterpreted, Saul is a citizen of the United States.  This does not make Saul unique in any stretch of the imagination; he is one of tens of thousands of babies born each year.  No, you do not have to be born to Mexican parents to be an anchor baby; you just have to have parents who have broken American immigration law.  The new precedent may be that your kid can stay, but you have to leave.  Just like the situation with Elvira and Saul.      

"For me it is very important that our government take a strong stand to defend all of us who decide to migrate to another country," Elvira Arellano said.

Even though she had just gotten home, she found time to address a Mexican Senate committee meeting.  She went on about how she only broke the law when she crossed the border, but the United States Government broke the law week after week by allowing her to pay taxes.  I guess maybe I am just a simpleton but I do not understand how she was able to legally pay her taxes without a valid social security number, wait a second how she got the job.  I was born here back in 1969, I do not look like I do not belong here, and I am told that I speak with a heavy Chicago accent and I still have to fill out the I-9 every time I get hired to do a new job.  I wonder how she answered the questions on the form without lying or providing false information on a federal government form.  The last time I looked that is a crime.

"We cannot remain quiet in view of this injustice and must ask for firm action from our authorities," Mexican Sen. Humberto Zazue said.

I am most confused by the way that so many Americans want to give up our sovergnty and defer to citizens from another country.  Most of those who are promoting open borders are from the left side of the aisle, in plain English they are bleeding heart liberals.  These same liberals won’t give up without a fight when they are opposing Republicans; so why is it that these same people want to defer to the Mexican government?  The keyword above is Most; even the President Bush is all for opening up our borders.  Through programs like SPP our President wants to make it possible for Mexican truckers to get all the way to Kansas City before they get inspected for the first time.  I know, they are going to enforce the law and do super hyper-vigilant patrols to ensure that bad guys don’t take advantage of the opportunity.  I mean we patrol or borders to keep drug dealers and terrorist out of our country don’t we? 

Why do our politicians think that we can even believe that they can start enforcing the laws of the United States of America after they pass this next set of immigration laws?  They are currently and overtly disregarding our present immigration laws.  If you are an employer who has workers that are in this country illegally it’s ok.  Under the current system if you provide the government with the proper information when you hire a new employee and it does not match the Social Security Administration will send you a letter.  The Social Security Administration will tell you that the information does not match.  From that point on the government will get out of the way and allow you to continue breaking the law.  There is no other option because the SSA does not enforce immigration laws.  Oh yeah, they also cannot pass the information on to government agencies that do.  I would assume from everything that I have read this is the very reason that the Twin Towers in New York fell, and more than 3,000 American civilians died.  Some of our elected representation in Washington D.C. will fight to continue these policies.  So how can we trust that the government will do its job with any new laws?

If you really feel that you have been mistreated by American Law Enforcement Agencies, have Saul renounce his American citizenship and migrate elsewhere!  Please!
