Border Security
Once again it has been proven that our border security is nothing more than a bad joke. And, it is not even funny.
In the last week we have received the “Legitimate Demands” from the “American Al Quada” on video; you can view it on youtube.com or go to patdollard.com. The terrorists demand that we leave all of the Islamic lands, I wonder if that includes France; that we stop interfering with the tyrants who run these lands, either politically, financially, or militarily; and the big one, we abandon Israel. If we do these things he says that American civilian casualties will be reduced, not that they will stop targeting us both here and abroad.
In that same time we have been told by our Commander-in-Chief that the Amnesty Bill is good legislation, and those who oppose it are obstructing a solution to a major problem. I wonder how many how many terrorists agree with him.
I bet the Fort Dix Six agree with the President. By this new bill they would have been given amnesty and allowed to stay in America. I’ll bet they’re kicking themselves in the pants right now. If they had only waited they would have been able to put together a better attack. I’ll lay good money to bad that all of their muslim terrorist buddies are just waiting to get legal status here, and laughing like the mad men that they are.
The left likes to put the spin on the issue that if you are against this “guest worker” (illegal alien amnesty) plan you are a bigot. I have heard many of our elected democrats saying that it is anti-Mexican immigrant to want to send them back from where they came. Well, it is not about Mexicans, Chinese, Irish or Polish immigrants. It is about enforcing our laws. Albeit, the government makes no money off of enforcing immigration laws, unlike things like “Click-it-or-Ticket”. It is still the law of the land, and if one hardworking Mexican, Chinese, Irish or Polish person can make it into the heart of America what is going to stop one devious, malicious, thug from coming here and wreaking havoc in our own cities. It has nothing to do with where you came from, but how you got here.
Those of us who are pushing border security are not just talking about our southern border. We want all four borders protected. North and South could be taken care of with fences and military/Border Patrol patrols. East and West may be a little bit harder because we are talking about our ports.
The majority of the security needs to be along our southern border because right now that is where our biggest weakness is. Not only are scores of Mexicans crossing into America, into California, New Mexico, Arizona and Texas, there are other nationalities coming in along side of them. Why should we feel so bad for these poor Mexicans when we are shipping good jobs down there through outsourcing. You cannot even buy a car today without seeing “some parts and systems produced and assembled in Mexico” on the window sticker. Don’t believe me? Go to a Chevy lot today and take a look at the window stickers.
By the way, did you know that those poor Mexicans don’t want people sneaking into their country either. The Mexican military patrols the southern border of Mexico. And, if they catch you crossing their border you are placed in a tent camp and held until you can be deported.
We don’t have to pick on the poor illegal alien; we can pick on their employers. Now there is money in that! With the big fines that companies have to pay for giving a job to an illegal alien, a job that could go to an American, the government can take the Click it or Ticket approach. Over a two to three week period the federal government is going to pay $30 Million to set up Click it or Ticket stops across the U.S. The fine for not wearing your seatbelt may be $50 or $75, but the fine for employing illegal aliens is in the thousands of dollars. Maybe that same $30 Million would be better spent enforcing immigration laws instead of local traffic law.
A good example of this type of enforcement is the Swift Meat Packing plant. They probably knew the Feds’ were coming because they had already put out wanted ads, at higher pay rates than they are paying illegals. When they got caught and temporarily shut down, which basically increased the fine as they were not making any money; all of those poor Mexicans were being exploited. The poor Mexican workers were being paid less than Americans would be to do the same jobs. Wait, isn’t that called a glass ceiling? Or is it that we don’t like the exploitation of American women?
Maybe, those of us on the right/correct side of the political aisle are more concerned for those poor Mexicans than those on the left/socialist side of the same aisle.
